I'm sorry friends that it has been too long since I've brought out a wonderful outfit post. And the bummer thing is that I've been coming up with so many adorable outfits lately what with this glorious spring weather, but I just haven't had the time to share them. But here's a lovely exception!
There's this great thrift store here in town that Madeline and I are obsessed with because they have the best antiques, furniture, and vintage clothing. The reason I bring up this ever elusive store is because I got this top there! Its actually a dress, probably a little girl's dress but I think it makes the perfect spring top! I usually shy away from pink but this is gingham top is perfection.
Top- Vintage, thrifted
Jeans- Forever 21
Shoes- Old Navy
Earrings- Forever 21
Do you spy my adorable flower earrings? I found them at Forever 21 and I am in love. They look like enamel vintage earrings! Gotta love that kind of a find. Anyways, I hope everyone is enjoying their spring. Sorry mine hasn't been documented as much as I like. I'll be back soon!

I'm not even going to apologize for the silence on the blog. The semester is wrapping up, so things have been a little crazy here on the home front.
I found this crochet quilt on pinterest and now I'm itching to make one just like it! The colors, the pattern, the little flowers! Ahhh I just want to crochet!
Lady Ties! I found this lovely etsy seller that makes these gorgeous ties and I want one. Particularly that kelly green one!
This dress is perfect. I really really really want it. Too bad I'm poor...
I love tumblr because I find gorgeous photos like this one.
Sunday night all my friends got together and watched Juno! A classic for sure! Haha, I just have a crush on Michael Cera and the soundtrack.
Also, I'm sorry I missed Music Mondays here on the blog. But lets pretend its Monday for a second and admire the awesomeness of St. Vincent and this music video. I just want to be her for like 5 minutes, is that too much to ask?!

Oh sweet, dear blog of mine, how I've missed you. It has been a very long time since I've rounded up some of my favorite things from the week. So here are some finds from my pinterest and my tumblr.
Circle skirts are and will always be my favorite. I'm especially fond of this pale blue dress with a full circle skirt.
This bag from Urban is delectable. Normally I wouldn't pick up a floral bag, but this one is pretty pretty.
I always go through seasons where I get really obsessed with etsy and favorite a million things and then seasons where I NEVER log on and when I do I have very little desire to search for treasures. Check out my favorites here.
I think I live off coffee. All I ever do is drink coffee. Coffee. Coffee. Coffee.
This illustration is adorable! Seriously too cute!
Madeline and I have a confession...we bought webkinz foxes at Hobby Lobby a few weeks ago and now we are obsessed. Do we act like 5 year olds on a daily basis? Yes. We have no shame at this point. Webkinz rules...seriously the games rock and now I'm addicted to this game called Goober's Lab. Okay, I know...nobody wants to hear about this...
UMMM...madeline and I love this song???!!!! I know, we've reached an all new low.

Who loves movie soundtracks? ME! But only if they are really good. I mean, obviously. All week long I've been listening to the Darjeeling Limited soundtrack and I got the idea that this music monday I'd share some of my favorite songs featured in movies.
If you've never seen this movie, get off the computer and watch this ASAP! Seriously its too good.
Who doesn't like this song and who doesn't like 500 Days of Summer? These are serious questions people.
This is "Master of None" by Beach House. It was featured in Miranda July's The Future. After I saw the movie, I couldn't get this song out of my head. GAH so good.
I love Marie Antoinette and I LOVE the soundtrack. For me the soundtrack makes the movie even more beautiful and amazing. It was hard to pick just one song to share.
Juno is one of those movies that was uber popular when I was a freshman in high school, but I didn't really get into it until later. And I have to admit, that soundtrack is pretty stellar too.
Okay, so this one isn't technically on the movie soundtrack, but it was on the trailer for the Social Network. I really love the original Radiohead song, but the choir version...chills...
Once. That's all.
As far as a great music moment in a movie...this scene is pretty grand. Also this soundtrack is rocking if you like 80's music.
Speaking of 80's music...And now that I've progressed from songs to scenes... I had to include my favorite song and my favorite music moment in a movie. To know Lloyd Dobler is to love him.
So that's all folks! Hope you enjoyed my movie music picks!

I think every girl thinks about what kind of house she wants to live in someday. I know I do. I always pin inspiration for my "someday home" and think about exactly how I want to decorate it. Does anyone else think about these sort of things? I just can't wait until I have a house that I can fix up and make my own. Here are some things that I would want in my home...
As you can see I'm a huge fan of color. These are all things I'd love to incorporate in my someday home. I'm always pinning things on pinterest that I'm inspired by like some of these...
Its so fun to think about what kinds of things I'll do with the freedom to decorate my own home one day. But in the mean time, all I can do is imagine. Which is plenty of fun for now.

I swear I'm still here! Here are some snap shots of the daily outfit.
Sweater- Old Navy
Skirt- Forever 21
Shoes- New York and Co.
The easter bunny knows me too well! He brought me these kelly green shoes on Sunday and I couldn't be more thrilled. I'm still breaking them in, but I think they are going to be a wonderful addition to the spring wardrobe. Isn't spring grand? My spring is full of homework, webkinz, and coffee. Weird right? Nope, its too fun. There is so much laughter in Rodes Harlin 205 these days. Happy Spring!

Now you dedicated readers know that Death Cab is my favorite band, so you'll understand the excitement behind this next sentence. Madeline and I are spontaneously going to see Death Cab on Friday!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!!! I'm freaking out. Just a bit.

Sorry for my recent absence on the blog lately. Its just been absolutely crazy! But I thought I'd come back and share some of my favorites that I've found on pinterest. Enjoy!
Can I have this dress? Please and thank you...
These gals are seriously bad-a. I love it.
In contrast to the rebel pic I have to admit I'm loving the perfect ponytail. Its just so wonderful and nifty. I also happen to adore Lauren Conrad for being so adorable all the time.
As if I need more purses...Since when did I become a bag person? I don't know, but I'm enjoying this little fascination.
A couple of weeks ago I made an awesome playlist of kitschy songs like these and last night Madeline and I rocked out to some of these. Here are a few of my favorites! Hope everyone's weekend is swell!

Okay so I may or may not have pushed myself into yet another form of social media yesterday. Yes folks, its true. I joined the tumblr community. I feel like I'm probably not going to use it as much as pinterest (actually I think I'm going to be pinning a lot of images from my tumblr to pinterest). But I noticed a lot of my friends/ other bloggers have tumblrs in addition to their blogs. Soooooo I jumped on the band wagon.
So if you'll excuse me now, I'm going to play around on tumblr until I figure out how to work it...
Check out mine here.
